Daphne is a professional orchestral musician and a passionate music educator. She started violin at the age of four and began
to play viola at the age of 18. She has played a range of works by composers such as William Walton, Paul
Hindemith, Bela Bartok, Henri Vieuxtemps, and many others.
She attended college for viola performance and has studied with Dr. Pamela Ryan from FSU and
Professor J.T. Posadas from USF. She has performed alongside big artists such as Professor Scott
Kluksdahl and Bonnie Hampton, as well as Svetozar Ivanov. She was also asked to play a new music
composition in an electric string quartet at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History for
the ACCelerate Festival. She has worked with members from the Danish String Quartet.
She has also won awards such as the Artist Series scholarship award, the P.E.O. star scholarship, and has
accomplished a course in conducting at the CME Institute with Doreen Rao. She has also won the
National Choral Award.
