Margaret
Piano
Margaret learned to play the piano at the age of 5 and completed the
Royal School of Music ( London) Grade 8 at the age of 13. Her musical
journey was mixed with her other academic pursuits with her obtaining a
Doctoral Degree in Social Work, and attending Harvard Business
School’s Executive Education Program. Her passion for music led her to
obtaining a Master Degree in Arts in Music as well as attaining First
Class Honor in Grade 10 at the Conservatory of Music (Canada) and
Distinction in Associate of Trinity College London (ATCL) piano
performance.
Music for Margaret, is more than learning to play an instrument. It is a
life-long tool to connect with others using a universal language which
touches the heart and soul of human kind. Margaret enjoys teaching piano
and seeing students, young and old, develop this valuable means of
expression.
Throughout her experience in piano teaching, Margaret believes that it is
important to start from where the student is and know their strengths and
challenges. Nothing is more rewarding than to see her students enjoy
playing music and be confident to show others – and themselves- who
they are and what they are capable of.
