Santiago holds a Bachelor's Degree in music education, majoring in classical guitar and percussion, from Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello in his home country of Chile. With over a decade of teaching under his belt, Santiago has worked with students of all ages and abilities, drawing from many different teaching methods including as Kodály, Orff, Dalcroze, and Suzuki. He believes that music is the universal language and has a unique ability to create emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
Currently based in Toronto, Santiago's mission as a music teacher is to imprint a musical legacy upon each of his students, unleashing within them a deep love and passion for music. He is sensitive to different learning styles and is dedicated to helping each one of his students find their unique path to musical expression.
Drawing from his own experiences of starting his musical journey in his teenage years, Santiago stresses the values of dedication, patience, and practice in the pursuit of musical excellence. Through his teaching, he aims to inspire his students to embrace these values and embark on their own transformative musical journeys.
