This program leads students on a path to a musical life inside of both the classical and contemporary music worlds. Classes balance technique and reading while still allowing students to learn music that appeals to them, no matter the style. Starting out on the piano will provide students with and excellent musical foundation, giving them skills and knowledge that can be transferred to other instruments.

Lessons are conveniently available in the comfort of your home, or virtually through our online portal where instructors will upload notes and documents to support classes.
Performance Opportunities
Students are encouraged to participate in our two annual recitals. They will have the opportunity to perform for a live & supportive audience either solo or alongside a band made up of GTMS instructors.

Learning to play the piano has an everlasting impact on the brain. Studying piano helps people to develop language and math skills and also provides a great outlet for creativity.

The Greater Toronto Music school admin team has great response time and are effective communicator. I am taking lessons from one of their teachers (Jesse) and although lessons have been online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the level of expertise shines through the screen. Madison has moved me ahead more in the past two months than I moved forward over the past several years. She is able to identify the areas where I need to improve AND exactly what I should be working on.
