Job Summary

​

Greater Toronto Music School is hiring private music teachers to deliver high-quality music lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. Teaching opportunities are available across Toronto and surrounding GTA areas including North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, and Mississauga.

​

We are seeking instructors for piano, guitar, voice, drums, strings, woodwinds, brass, music production & more. Lessons are offered in students’ homes, instructors’ home studios, and online.

Job Details

• Role: Private Music Teacher

• Employment Type: Independent Contractor

• Pay: $29–$35 per hour

• Location: Greater Toronto Area (multiple neighbourhoods)

• Teaching Formats: In-home, instructor studio, online

• Instruments Needed:
  Piano, Guitar (acoustic, electric & bass), Drums, Voice, Violin, Viola, Cello, Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Trumpet, Trombone, Music Production & more.

What You Bring
 

• Every student is your favourite student, and you make sure they know it

• Ability to teach students of all ages and skill levels

• Strong communication skills with students, parents, and school administration

• Excellent organization and time management

• Ability to break down complex musical concepts into engaging, customized lessons

• Teaching experience and/or professional performance or recording experience

• Multi-instrumentalists are a plus

• Post-secondary music education or equivalent professional experience
