Jaime from Greater Toronto Music School started working with my kids teaching keyboard and acoustic guitar when the pandemic began. Neither had prior experience with instruments. All of our lessons have been over video conferencing and they have been amazing! Jaime is excellent at teaching and keeping my kids engaged. Our Toronto Trombone Teachers
Mikael
Mikael, a Toronto based trombone teacher and multi-instrumentalist, graduated from Humber College's Bachelor of Music program. Mikael is excited to share his knowledge and experience with students of all levels and musical interests. With musical roots in the Ottawa jazz and musical theatre scenes, Mikael has a broad knowledge base that allows him to thrive in pop, musical theatre, funk, punk, jazz, and classical contexts. He has also released original music as a vocalist, trombonist, arranger, and producer.
Mikael has a passion for working with children, and has experience teaching dance and acting to children through arts camps in the city of Ottawa. He is currently working towards releasing an EP of original music, as well as becoming accredited in teaching ESL.
Thomas
Thomas earned his Master of Music degree from the University of Toronto in 2022 and his Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Alberta. He was the recipient of the U of T Fellowship in Music in the first year of his studies and the Nour Private Wealth Award in the second year of his studies at the University of Toronto. He won the University of Alberta Concerto Competition in 2019, was a runner-up in the same competition in 2018 and was awarded the Harvard Broadcasting Award in his first year of studies at the University of Alberta. Currently, Thomas resides in Toronto where he is a passionate trombone teacher and can be found frequently performing in venues around the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.
