Ashley

Piano, Voice

Ashley is a musician and educator residing in the GTA. She started learning piano at 12 years old and was introduced to voice lessons when she was 14 years old. Her interest in music began after listening to the music from the Legend of Zelda, which sparked her passion for classical music and Japanese video game music. Ashley continues to demonstrate excellent musicianship and passion for her instrument. She is completing her degree in Music Performance with a minor in Psychology at York University and is working towards her ARCT in piano performance and piano pedagogy with the Royal Conservatory of Music. She has been on the Dean’s List honour roll for her 4 years studying music at York University and received notable awards for her performance such as the Sterling Beckwith Award, Avrom Yanovksy Award, Brazilian Ball Fine Arts Award, Edward B. Harvey Award, Patricia and Robert Martin Award, and the Stephanie Ling Award in Community Outreach.Ashley’s passion for music is demonstrated in her performance. She has performed on the piano and sang at many venues in Toronto like the Jazz Bistro, 120 Diner, and Tribute Communities Recital Hall. Her goal as a teacher is to help students create and play music that they love.
