Jacob is a Toronto-based musician, educator, and performer currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education at York University after completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music. Specializing in trumpet, piano, voice, and music theory, he has developed extensive experience teaching students of varying ages and skill levels through both private instruction and community-based education programs.
Alongside his teaching work, Jacob has remained active as a performer and ensemble leader. He has performed with the York University Wind Symphony, served as Trumpet Section Leader, contributed to Media Music Club as a performer and conductor, and performed with the Richmond Hill Philharmonic Orchestra. His approach to music education emphasizes growth, confidence, discipline, and helping students develop both technical ability and a lasting appreciation for music.
Jacob has experience working with students with diverse learning needs and is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment where every student can succeed at their own pace. His teaching style focuses on patience, adaptability, and building strong connections with students to help them feel confident and engaged in their musical development.
Beyond music, Jacob’s background in leadership and education includes years of mentoring and instructing youth in team and community settings. Known for his encouraging and approachable teaching style, he is passionate about fostering creativity while helping students achieve their personal and musical goals.
