Guitar, Piano, Voice, Ukulele, Bass, Harmonica, Banjo, Mandolin, Lap Steel, Production

Jake is a multi-instrumentalist of twenty years who has recorded various music projects, and performed across North America. His teaching instruments include guitar, ukulele, bass, piano, harmonica, banjo, mandolin, dobro, lap steel, drum machines, MIDI pads and more! Attempting new instruments is fun, beneficial, and always encouraged. Music is a universal language, and learning to "speak" on other instruments directly improves articulation on your main instrument. Jake plans to provide his students with the tools to contribute, cooperate and excel individually -- and most importantly, with others. His students have always been partial to his patience, calmness and method of laying out new ideas. He is incredibly passionate and knowledgable across all eras and genres.

Jake started playing guitar at five years old with a private instructor. Learning in that environment from a young age has shaped his approach to educating and communicating with students. Post secondary, Jake went on to study at Metalworks Institute for Guitar Performance. His teaching experience ranges from high school classrooms, summer camps, lecture halls, and private one on one instruction. One of his many assets is his ability to adapt to the goals and learning styles of the student(s). Jake pries himself on building good relationships with his students. He has seen kids grow from grade school to high school, and witnessed their music tastes travel all over the map. If you wish your child to be excited about their weekly music lesson, Jake is the instructor to call.
