Mark is a highly accomplished pianist, improvisation specialist, and educator based in Toronto. With over two decades of performance and teaching experience, he brings a deep understanding of harmony, theory, and creative expression to every lesson and ensemble he leads.
A graduate of a post-secondary music program with advanced studies in jazz performance and education, Mark has performed extensively across Canada as both a soloist and bandleader. His work has been featured on JazzFM91 and CBC Music, and he has led his own quartet, known for its dynamic arrangements and original compositions.
As an educator, Mark is dedicated to helping students discover their individual artistic voices. His teaching style blends technical precision with creative exploration, empowering students to build confidence, musicality, and freedom of expression. Many of his students have gone on to pursue music studies at the post-secondary level and perform professionally.
