Mildred

Mildred is a compassionate and creative educator with a deep commitment to nurturing children’s growth through both music and Montessori education. With a strong foundation in early childhood development and years of hands-on experience in classrooms across Canada and Hong Kong, she combines warmth, structure, and artistry in her teaching approach.

As a piano instructor, Mildred has guided students aged 2 and up in developing their musical skills and confidence. She holds ABRSM Piano Grade 8 and Music Theory Grade 5 certifications, and is known for her engaging lessons that balance theory, performance, and creative expression. Her personalized feedback and innovative note-recognition methods help beginners build strong foundational skills and a lifelong love for music.

In addition to her music teaching, Mildred is an experienced early childhood educator and Montessori assistant teacher, currently pursuing her Infant-Toddler Montessori Diploma at the Montessori Teachers College. She holds a Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education from the Lingnan Institute of Further Education in Hong Kong and is a Level 2 Certified Early Childhood Educator in Saskatchewan.

Mildred’s teaching philosophy emphasizes independence, curiosity, and respect for each child’s unique rhythm of learning. Whether in the classroom or at the piano, she fosters calm, engaging environments where children feel supported to explore, create, and grow.
