Peter

Violin, Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums

Peter graduated from York University with degrees in Music (piano performance) and Mathematics. Presently, he teaches mathematics in the public school board. He previously taught instrumental music, directing the Concert Bands and Jazz Band and took them to perform at various concerts, festivals and competitions. A few of the highlights include taking the bands to perform in Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York City and receiving the Gold award at MusicFest – The Nationals, which is the highest level of band competition in Canada. Outside of teaching, Peter is a very active musician in Toronto and the GTA. His primary instruments are keyboards and violin but he has also played guitar, bass and drums when the situation calls for it. His ability to adapt to any situation and his versatility has allowed him to perform a wide range of genres and events. These performances include weddings, corporate events, Craft Beer Festivals, Rib Fests, Musical Theatre Pit Bands and even live music yoga. Some performances of note include: opening for international touring progressive rock acts Haken and Thank You Scientist, playing major events for the City of Toronto such as the Beaches Jazz Festival and taking part in the Guinness World Record for “Longest Concert by Multiple Artists”. His music arranging skills were put to use for the 2016 Taiwanese film “10,000 Miles”. Peter continues to be a student of music and is regularly practicing and preparing for his varied performances. Outside of music he enjoys playing hockey, staying active, reading, watching movies and travelling.
